01 — About

I taught myself to code in the middle of the pandemic, and I haven't stopped since: courses, docs, trial and error, and many “why isn't this working?” nights.

I was studying law when I discovered programming through Platzi, and I knew it was my calling. I learned from courses and YouTube creators, following one rule: never stop learning.

With a solid web development foundation I joined WANT, where I spent 3+ years building real products for clients in Bolivia and the US. Today I work independently while finishing my Systems Engineering degree, and I use AI to go further with what I already know how to do.

And I live in Linux: I've tried many distros, but Arch was always special. I daily-drive rOS, my own flavor of Arch, and run a homelab at home looked after by an AI agent.

05 — How I work

From problem to production.

  1. 01

    Understand

Before writing code I understand the problem, who uses it and what can't fail. I ask a lot up front so I don't redo things at the end.

  2. 02

    Design

Data, architecture and UI before screens. When it helps, a quick prototype to validate the idea with something real.

  3. 03

    Build

Typed code, small reviewed commits. AI helps with the repetitive parts; what ships to production is code I understand and can maintain.

  4. 04

    Test & measure

Tests, real data and metrics instead of impressions: in AdvAI, measuring retrieval took me from 43% to 80% hit rate.

  5. 05

    Ship & maintain

CI/CD, automatic deploys, docs and backups. I automate what repeats so my time goes where it matters.
